Welcome to your Friday Writing Exercise. Let’s get your writing muscles stretched out. We are going to be practicing writing tension.
In this exercise we will be writing a scene where two characters want the same object and they both believe they are the one destine to have it. These two people will do or say what ever it takes to be victorious.
Choose two of the following: an old women, a buisness man, a lawyer, a cheerleader, or a street person.
Choose an object: $100 bill on the sidewalk, last seat on the bus, or last hot dog at the mini mart.
When writing this don’t hold back, be sneaky, be ruthless, make the reader want more. Add more characters to add tension. Have fun with it.
Until next time, be happy, stay safe, and good writing vibes into the universe.
As always, please follow me on Instagram @beinglaurakmarshall , for the fun of it.
